Narconon Vista Bay joins the rest of the drug and alcohol treatment industry each year to celebrate Recovery Month. The National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month is observed each September.
Recovery Month is intended to highlight the social benefits of recovery organizations. It shares help from recovery specialists and gets the message of rehabilitation to the community. Recovery Month also tries to inspire people to help out so we can expand and improve treatment for alcohol and drug addiction. Each year a new theme is chosen to bring emphasis to different sections of the alcohol and drug recovery business.
Each September, thousands of recovery programs like Narconon Vista Bay rehab join together to honor people in rehabilitation and those devoted specialists who help them. People and programs are asked to share their experiences with the public, and assist in educating the community regarding alcohol and drug recovery, and enlighten them on how it works. Experts in recovery have saved and changed the lives of uncountable amounts of U.S. citizens. By celebrating Recovery Month, we are honoring these achievements.
Recovery Month is also a means to teach the community about the crisis of addiction. It proves that addiction can be cured and that recovery is possible. The benefits of recovery for the person, family, friends, workplace and the community are showcased demonstrating how addiction and rehabilitation affects everyone and everything. By teaching the world about addiction and recovery, the shame connected to it is lessened and backing for recovery programs increases.

The Vista Bay Drug Free Withdrawal Program
For many individuals who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, the hardest part about quitting is taking that initial step. Quitting isn’t easy; there are severe withdrawal symptoms to overcome, not to mention severe cravings, mood swings, etc. For drug addicts and alcoholics, the thought of this may be so daunting that they don’t even try.
At Vista Bay, we offer a drug free withdrawal process that aims to make the initial withdrawal from substances as comfortable and effective as possible for the individual. This process begins with complete removal of all mind and mood altering substances from the addict. Then our trained withdrawal counselors begin to rehabilitate the client physically and mentally using proven techniques for successful withdrawal. Those who are undergoing the withdrawal process will be put on a regimen of vitamin and nutrition therapy aimed at restoring vital nutrients to the body that drug and alcohol abuse has depleted. We also take our clients on many short walks and engage them in a variety of simple mental exercises. This helps them to stay positive during this uncomfortable process and get through it as painlessly as possible.
Every client that undergoes the Narconon drug free withdrawal program is supervised 24 hours a day. There is no time limit for the withdrawal portion of the Vista Bay program, clients are kept on the withdrawal program until all physical and mental discomfort associated with drug and alcohol withdrawal is gone.
The Drug Free Withdrawal program at Vista Bay rehab gives our clients a solid foundation for succeeding with the rest of their treatment and embarking on a clean and sober life!

Vista Bay Rehab Success Story
I wanted to die. I had completely given up. I was progressively losing hope to the point that death didn’t scare me. I lost my job, my house, my relationship, my family, my dignity and my spirit.
I got into a motorcycle accident. The first time I was injected with morphine, I knew it was going to become a problem. I went home with my prescription of oxycontin. I hid this from my family because of my history with opiate abuse. My close friends and family eventually noticed that I was “off” so I tried to quit “cold-turkey.” I got really sick which was even more noticeable so I tried to taper off from the medication and somehow quit without my loved ones noticing that I was on the medication in the first place. When I was finally caught, I went on a big run, getting back into everything including meth, alcohol and marijuana. I was keeping a lot of my life secret from other people, which led to guilt, shame and more chaos. After 3 months, I overdosed in my car while driving, which led to permanent blindness in my left eye. My family did an intervention with me where they made certain that I though I could change and that I wanted to change. Then they sent me to Narconon Vista Bay Rehab.
Since coming to Vista Bay, I have become really excited to live my life. I know I can remain happy now and be successful. I was out of control with myself and everything in my life. Now I feel very in control of myself and my future. I am genuinely joyful. For a long time now I haven’t spent a minute feeling sorry for myself or depressed. My thinking is on track and clear. My strength and will to life are back. I care about other people and I am not selfish all the time. I feel energized and full of life. I can achieve anything I want by confronting my dreams and going for it!

Vista Bay Rehab | Methamphetamine Information
Methamphetamine, commonly called crystal, meth or crank, has become widespread as a drug of choice for many substance abusers in our country. Meth first became widely popular in the 80’s as a more affordable alternative to cocaine. At the time, the cost of cocaine made it prohibitive for many to use on a regular basis, so use of meth helped to supplement their habits.
Meth was made or “cooked in bathtubs and cut with ephedrine (a stimulant found in cold medicine) and sold by local dealers. Today, crystal meth manufacturing has achieved a sophistication rivaling that of heroin and cocaine production. Cookers, as those who produce the drug are known, come up with clever and hi-tech ways to produce the drug right here in our neighborhoods.
Currently, meth is being widely used throughout suburban America and is being found in schools. At Narconon Vista Bay rehab, we have seen a steady increase in the amount of enrollments for crystal meth from all walks of life.
The office of the Nevada Governor released some alarming statistics on meth use in recent years. According to the study, of those surveyed who used drugs, 45% of adults, 41% of adolescents and 82% of pregnant women reported crystal meth as the drug of choice. Nevada is home to some of the highest methamphetamine abuse statistics in the country.
Crystal meth is a strong stimulant that can lead to hallucinations and severe paranoia. Health risks associated with meth include, speeding up the aging process, destroying teeth, facial sores from poor health and the meth users propensity toward picking at themselves and damage to internal organs. Many who have used meth for years wind up in a meth psychosis that can last for weeks or months after the drug has left their system.
Vista Bay rehab has seen people everyday overcome addiction to meth. The damage done by the drug may be significant, but with VistaBay Drug Rehab’s detoxification and life skills regimen, the individual can be restored to sanity and given the opportunity to turn their life around. It is possible to have a new and successful life free of addiction. If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, contact Narconon Vista Bay Rehab today!

Narconon Vistabay Rehab – Information on Teen Drug Use
Teen drug use is a serious problem in America. Not only because it’s dangerous to the youth of our nation, but also because it leads to adult alcoholism and addiction. The following statistics have been compiled by Vista Bay rehab from various government organizations in an effort to better educate the public on the realities of teen drug abuse. Hopefully, armed with this knowledge, citizens will better be able to protect themselves and those they love from the perils of drug abuse and addiction.
There is some good news however, due to major effort toward drug education and prevention, teen drug use has experienced a decline in recent years. Narconon Vista Bay rehab is heavily involved in drug education programs along with other Narconon programs throughout the world. We believe that using proper education on what drugs do to the human body and the repercussions of drug abuse, children and teens will be compelled to make responsible decisions when it comes to drug use.
Narconon Vistabay rehab is a network of drug and alcohol treatment centers in California. The Vista Bay program uses the Narconon Drug Rehabilitation technology and boasts a high success rate using a natural, social model for treatment. You can get your kid back with Vista Bay Rehab. - In 2002, one-third of 10th grade students had used marijuana. Nearly one-fifth of 10th grade students said they had used marijuana at least once in the past month.
- In 2002, 2% of 10th grade students had used cocaine, 3% had used opiates, 13% had used inhalants, nearly 5% had used a club drug like ectasy or methamphetamine, and about 2% had used anabolic steroids.
- While the use of most drugs by teenagers has decreased since 2001, the abuse of Oxycontin, a powerful prescription painkiller, has increased to 5% of 10th grade students in 2004.

Narconon Vista Bay Rehab and Alcohol Education
Narconon Vistabay Rehab is looking into alcoholism statistics in an effort to better educate the public. For the 2007 - 2008 fiscal year, alcohol abuse ranked #2 among all substances for treatment admissions. Alcoholism is widespread throughout Northern California, from Santa Barbara all the way up to Humboldt County.
I'm sure we all have experienced the effects of alcoholism in our lives. Whether it's loved ones or ourselves, alcoholism is widespread. The difficulties one faces when dealing with alcohol addiction is that alcohol is legal, cheap, and readily available. This gives the alcoholic the ability to maintain his addiction much longer than the illegal drug addict. Often times it's not until the alcoholism is so bad that it leads to personal injury, the injury of others, or chronic health conditions that the alcoholic starts looking for another way.
Many treatment centers are becoming overly focused on treating drug addicts and losing sight of the alcoholic. At Vista Bay we remember that treating substance abuse means all substances and that the methods for teaching someone to live without alcohol is the same as teaching someone to live without drugs. It is important however, to ensure that the California alcohol rehab you choose is familiar with alcoholics and what they go through.
The initial detox from alcohol can be very acute and life threatening. Vista bay drug rehab has staff around the clock watching the alcoholic for any signs of dangerous withdrawals and the ability to get them safely to a hospital if need be. If the alcoholism is far enough progressed, they may need a medical withdrawal under the care of a physician.

Vista Bay Drug Rehab Holistic Treatment
Vista Bay Drug Rehab offers the most successful and comprehensive holistic approaches to drug and alcohol treatment available. Thousands of individuals have completed the Vista Bay drug rehab program and gone on to lead successful lives, no longer haunted by their past.
A basic definition of the holistic philosophy offered by the Merriam Webster dictionary is as follows:
“Relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete systems rather than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection into parts ”
A more comprehensive definition is offered by the Canadian Holistic Medical Association:
“Holistic medicine is a system of health care which fosters a cooperative relationship among all those involved, leading towards optimal attainment of the physical, mental emotional, social and spiritual aspects of health. It emphasizes the need to look at the whole person, including analysis of physical, nutritional, environmental, emotional, social, spiritual and lifestyle values. Holistic medicine focuses on education and responsibility for personal efforts to achieve balance and well being.”
As you can see, a holistic approach leaves no stone unturned with regard to rehabilitation which is why Vistabay rehab has embraced it as an effective approach to drug and alcohol treatment.
